Kerrville children are heading back to school.  For most Kerrville residents this means traffic congestion in and around school zones.  Kerrville Police Officers will be out and visible during the morning and afternoon hours monitoring the school zones in order to keep our children safe. The Kerrville Police Department offers these suggestions to help with the increase in morning traffic:

Redirect your route for a while until school settles in and the traffic lets up.

                *  Leave the house a little earlier than usual.

                *  Take care of morning errands a little later.

Slow down, follow the traffic laws, pay attention and watch out for the children.
