Residential garbage pickup is contracted with Allied Waste Industries Management (AWIN).
Curb side recycle bins available
Recycle items accepted at curbside are: newspaper (collected only on dry days-wet newspaper cannot be recycled), 1 or 2 plastic, rinsed aluminum and metal cans, clear and brown glass, "direct mail items" -magazines, catalogues, advertisements, brochures, etc., and cardboard boxes that are flattened and cut into sections not to exceed 4 feet in length and 2 1/2 feet in width.

Yard waste pickup - third full week of month
Yard waste consists of leaves, grass clippings, yard and garden debris, brush, and tree limbs, and should be placed at the curb by 7:30 a.m. Brush and tree limbs six inches or less in diameter or six feet in length should be neatly stacked perpendicular to the curb with the large ends of the branches facing the curb.
Grass clippings and leaves must be placed in bags or containers. Yard waste that exceeds 24 cubic fee in volume will be tagged and picked up on the next scheduled yard waste collection day. Yard waste does not include stumps, roots, or shrubs with intact root balls. (Calendar available at Water Records Office).
Annual Spring Clean Up - Dates announced annually. For more information call 830-792-8312.
Commercial garbage collection is not provided - owners must make own arrangements for service.
