Blue Santa Project

The Kerrville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (KCPAAA), in partnership with the Kerrville Police Department, successfully completed yet another Blue Santa Project. Generous donations by citizens and businesses of Kerrville, along with funding and manpower support from the Kerrville Noon Rotary Club, the Elks Lodge 2081 and Ronnie Bock's Kerrville RV, resulted in 70 Kerrville families with over 150 children enjoying a fantastic Christmas that otherwise would not have been possible.

Local community policing is a community based enterprise. The community must be involved in accomplishing the police mission. The Kerrville Police Department is committed to recognizing the merits of community involvement and seeks to achieve partnerships with the community it serves. The move to community policing is an arduous task, designed to increase cooperation and communication with the community and the police.

As police officers, our interaction and partnerships with the community is important. We need to know citizen expectations, opinions and perceptions regardless of what we do. Such awareness influences our initiative, insight and innovation in interacting with and responding to citizens.

The Community Services Officer is the liaison to the community and is empowered to tie neighborhoods together to build a generation. The Police Department is committed to implement and coordinate programs to help families raise children who value themselves, their families, neighbors and community.

The Kerrville Police Department’s Community Policing Program will be offering several programs designed to enhance community relations and awareness.

Below is a list of program areas that may be of interest to you. To learn more about these programs, please contact the Community Services Officer at the Police Department at:
