1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Join the Challenge Today!

The Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library is excited to unveil a new program this fall, which aims to set young children on the path to success, one book at a time. Families are invited to join the ‘1,000 Books Before Kindergarten’ program starting Thursday, September 1, 2016. This program is a nationwide challenge that encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children. By reading just one book a night, families can reach the 1,000 book goal in three years and provide their children essential early literacy skills. For more information, call the Reference Desk at (830) 258-1274.

Genealogical research assistance will still be available at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library Reference Desk during this time.
