Bonnie White was elected Mayor of Kerrville on May 7, 2016 after serving one year as the Place Two Councilmember on the Kerrville City Council. She serves on the Kerrville Public Utility Board, the Kerrville Economic Development Corporation and heads up the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council. She is also graduate of Leadership Kerr County
Mayor White is a 1974 honor graduate of Tivy High School, and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband Robert have owned and operated their own business since 1984 and returned to the Kerrville area in 1996 where they have primarily been involved in real estate development and oil and gas operations. Mayor White was elected to City Council in 2015 and was elected as Mayor in 2016. As a council member she has served as Ex-Officio member of the Planning and Zoning Commission as well as a liaison to the Beautification Advisory Board. She was also previously appointed to serve on the Airport Planning Committee.
White is also a member of the Hill Country Youth Ranch Auxiliary, the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association, and the Republican Women of Kerr County. In addition to her involvement in civic and professional responsibilities, Mayor White and her husband have traveled as missionaries to many parts of the world, including Russia and South America. Mayor White and Mr. White are both native Texans and are proud to call the Texas Hill Country and Kerrville their home.
