River Trail Project

Welcome to The Kerrville River Trail!

The River Trail has been a planned concept in Kerrville since the 1970's and we are proud to see it come to fruition.  The River Trail is a day use 10' wide walking and biking trail for public use, which will be an integral part of the city's parks system.  With the opening of the first phase of the River Trail from the Riverside Nature Center to Louise Hays Park, the upcoming phases will extend the trail all the way to Kerrville-Schreiner Park, and thereby connecting two of the crown jewels of the city's park system.

To be opened on June 13, 2015, this park project will provide a continuous 4 mile trail along the Guadalupe River, with trailheads located at Kerrville-Schreiner Park, G Street, Lehmann & Monroe Park, Louise Hays Park, and the Riverside Nature Center.

There are currently three active segments of the River Trail:

Package A (Riverside Nature Center to Louise Hays Park) - OPEN!
This 0.7 mile segment of the trail is complete and open for use.

Package B (Louise Hays Park to G Street) - OPENING JUNE 13, 2015!
This segment of the trail is currently under construction.

    Package F (G Street to Kerrville-Schreiner Park) - OPENING JUNE 13, 2015!
This segment of the trail is currently under construction.
