Kim Clarkson was born and raised in Kerrville. After graduating from the University of Texas, Kim returned to home where she taught at Starkey Elementary before joining Kerr County Abstract & Title Co.
Kim previously served on the city’s Economic Development Committee and the City of Kerrville 2050 Comprehensive Plan, and currently serves on the city’s Code Review Committee.
Kim has volunteered for many organizations, including Hill Country Charity Ball, Greystone Academy, Kerrville Main Street Program, Hill Country College Fund, and Relay for Life. In addition, Kim has served on the board of directors for the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Kerrville, Executive Women’s Club, Kerrville Public School Foundation, Kerr County United Way, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Kerr County.
Kim has been married for 16 years to her husband, Austin. Kim and Austin enjoy coaching their sons’ soccer and basketball teams in their spare time. Their family also hosts foreign exchange students through the Rotary Youth Exchange program. They have been a host family for students from Denmark, France, Switzerland and Sweden.
