Officer Mobley began his career in Law Enforcement at the Houston Police Department in 1982. Officer Mobley continued with his career with the Kerrville Police Department in 1990.
Officer Mobley has served in various capacities within the department's Field Operations Division where he served as a patrol officer, bike patrol officer, evidence technician, and Hill Country Combined Special Operations Unit - Original Charter Member.
A retirement reception was held for Officer Mobley on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Rails - A Café at the Depot restaurant.
Officer Mobley was presented a plaque by Kerrville City Manager Todd Parton for his dedicated service to the City Of Kerrville. The City Manager praised Officer Mobley's commitment to the safety and well being of the citizens of Kerrville.
Captain David Knight presented Officer Mobley with a shadow box containing his badge, department patches, and commendation. Officer Mobley held a Master Peace Officer's Certification. Captain Knight said that Mobley was being recognized for his dedication and commitment to community service and law enforcement.
Officer Mobley spoke about his career and the many friends he has made while at the police department, and looked forward to spending time with his family.
Many friends and colleagues attended the reception to congratulate Officer Mobley on his retirement and wish him well in his future endeavors.
