On April 6, 2011 at 2:17pm, Kerrville Police Department Officers responded to the 1700 BLK of Junction Hwy regarding the discovery of a body found off in the wooded area near Dietert Creek.

At this time we are unable to determine the identity or gender of the body. It appears that the body has been at this location for some time based on the decomposition.

Justice of the Peace William Ragsdale was called to the scene to officiate. He has ordered for the remains to be taken to Travis County Medical Examiners Office for an Autopsy.

We will continue to provide updates and any new information as the investigation progresses pending the autopsy results and investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kerrville Police Department.
