[ARCHIVED] Community Alert

The Kerrville Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is asking the public for their help to report phone calls from individuals posing as Easter Seals Disability Services Foundation representatives who are soliciting donations by deception.

Unknown individuals posing as foundation representatives are making phony calls to citizens of Kerrville asking for donations. The individuals are asking for clothing, household goods, magazines and anything reusable. The items are to be placed in a box or bag and marked with an “ES”, then placed on the front porch for pick up on a certain day and time.

The Easter Seals Disability Services Foundation reports they do not solicit donations over the telephone. All solicitations are done through the mail or their website.

If anyone has received similar calls or made a donation such as this please contact Investigator John Knoulton at 830-258-1315.
