On August 4, The Kerrville Police Department Special Crimes Unit along with the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant in the 411 Lewis Street. Officers seized various cultivated suspected marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia.
KPD Acting Lieutenant for Investigations Ken Wilke stated, “The search warrant service was the culmination of a successful joint drug operation and led to the arrest of 37-years-old Kerrville Resident John Ramirez”.
Officers seized the suspected marijuana plants inside a storage shed and several items of drug paraphernalia.
After learning, Ramirez’s two children were inside the residence and possibly exposed to the use of marijuana, Children’s Protective Services was notified.
Charged with Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces, Ramirez, could receive a fine not to exceed $2,000; confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 180 days; or both.
