Christmas Tree Recycling

Kerrville (December 19, 2012) – The Parks and Recreation Department is accepting Christmas trees to be recycled from December 26, 2012 to January 16, 2013 in Louise Hays Park. The area designated below the park entrance off of Thompson Drive will again be used for tree drop off. There is no cost associated with this recycling program.
Christmas trees should be free of ornaments, lights, hangers, icicles, strings and any other glass, metal or plastic.
RETAILERS: WE WILL ACCEPT TREES THAT WERE NOT SOLD; HOWEVER, PLEASE BE SURE THAT ALL ROPES, TWINES AND PLASTIC NETTING ARE REMOVED BEFORE DELIVERY TO THE PARK.
