On December 30, 2013 at approximately 1:20 pm, Officers of the Kerrville Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 Block of Water Street for a citizen’s report of a unresponsive adult female found in a parked vehicle.

Officers found the body of thirty-seven (37) year old Valerie Marie Jimenez of Kerrville, Texas. Jimenez was found in a vehicle which was parked in a parking lot of the 1200 Block of Water Street.

Justice of the Peace Kathy Mitchell was notified and responded to the location. Judge Mitchell ordered an autopsy to be conducted.

Grimes Funeral Home was notified and attended to the care of the deceased.

An investigation into the cause of death is being conducted by the Kerrville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit (C.I.U.), which is handling the investigation as a homicide.
