[ARCHIVED] Disturbance Ends in Shooting

On January 16, 2014, at 2:04 PM, the Kerrville Police Department (KPD) responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding the discharge of a weapon and a person wounded in the 900 block of Paschal Ave.

When Police Officers arrived in the 900 block of Paschal Ave, they found a male victim, 27 years of age, who had been shot multiple times by a small caliber rifle.

Kerrville Fire / EMS arrived to render medical aid to the male victim, who was subsequently transported by Air Evac to a San Antonio hospital.

The investigation reveals that the shooting stemmed from a disturbance between the victim and the suspect. The suspect, who was found at the scene and identified as Leroy Carrizales, 25 years of age, was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to the Kerr County Jail pending first appearance before a magistrate.
