Westward expansion was one of the most transformational elements in American life throughout the 19th century. Printed imagery played an important role in the dissemination of knowledge and understanding about the West and those who inhabited it. This exhibit features 48 hand-colored engravings and lithographs that explore these depictions and the influence artists had on the perception of the Wild West.
Talley produces impressionistic realism being a blend of rich colors but under control as well as producing a more subdued look as did the Tonalist painters. Beginning as a portrait painter he has evolved to become primarily a landscape painter. Meet the artist & wine and cheese reception, April 19th, 5:30pm.

This brand new farmers market will feature a wide variety of locally sourced produce, meat, eggs, bread, cheese, beer, wine and more! Brick oven pizza and boiled shrimp are on the menu. Tunes from acoustic instruments will make their way into our ears as we sip wine or enjoy a taste of Kerrville made beer, feast on locally produced food and celebrate an evening with old friends and make some new ones. The Boardwalk Pavilion is located in the parking lot at the intersection of water and Earl Garrett Streets by "the star" and overlooks Louise Hays Park and the Guadalupe River.
