Teen Court

Teen Court 24-25

The Kerrville Municipal Judge presides over the Kerrville Teen Court, which  meets every third Tuesday of the month from September through May to hear the cases of defendants between the ages of 10 and 17 (18 if the defendant is still enrolled in a secondary school) charged with class C misdemeanors.  The defendants appearing before the Kerrville Teen Court have to agree to participate in the program and are defended, prosecuted, and sentenced by teenagers.  If the defendant successfully completes the Kerrville Teen Court program, then that defendant’s charges are dismissed, and with the exception of traffic offenses that are reported on the defendant’s driving record, these charges are not included on the defendant’s criminal record.
