1 message from your Fire Chief:
It is my honor to serve the 25,000 citizens and visitors of the City of Kerrville as Fire Chief.
The fire department is a proud organization with a culture that dates back to the late 1800's as the Kerrville Hook & Ladder Co. The Kerrville Fire Department provides a community based, all-hazards emergency services approach to ensure the safety of the community 24/7.
We are a career fire department of 81 dedicated team members; 77 career Firefighter EMTs/Paramedics and Officers, 2 career EMTs/Paramedics, and 2 Administration staff who are proud to serve our community. The men and women of the Kerrville Fire Department are an exceptional team that provides Fire Suppression, Medical First Responder, EMS, Tactical Medics, Fire Prevention, Technical Rescue (Scuba, High-Angle, and Swift Water), Wildland, Emergency Management and Community Education.
We are an ISO 2 Fire Department that provides excellent fire protection for the City of Kerrville to include the greater Kerrville area. We also provide EMS as a Mobile Intensive Care Unit to the 1100 square miles of Kerr County. We are dedicated to our community and committed to deliver excellent services to our citizens and visitors.
Mission: "Exceptional Team... Efficient Methods... Excellent Service"
Community Vision: We will be an innovative, responsive and customer-focused fire service dedicated to the safety of our community.
KFD Vision: We will be a family-oriented fire department that supports, respects, encourages, and empowers each other as a team.
Core Values: Professionalism, Integrity, Commitment, and Teamwork.
I was raised in this community and am honored to serve my hometown as the Fire Chief. I welcome our citizens and guests to visit your local fire stations for questions, a tour, or just to say Hello.
Sincerely,
Eric W. Maloney, Fire Chief
